ELIGHT PARA MILITARY FORCE
The Special Task Force (STF ) is an elight para military forces unit of the Sri Lanka police specializing in counter-terrorism and counter -insurgency operations As well as in providing VIP security.
It was formed in 1983 not as a military force, but rather as a highly specialized police unit
The STF Internationally recognized for its expertise in these areas and it is often invited to assist foreign law enforcement agencies with planning major events such as the 2008 Beijing Olympics and in dealing with. possible terrorist threats.
